Great results for the Speed Car GTR at the Pujada Alp2500, event included in the schedule of both the Spanish and Catalonian Hillclimb championships held the 13, 14 and 15 of July in the Cerdanya region. In the national series, Edgar Montella got to the podium in third position of the category 2 and in the Catalonian championship the young Andorra born driver won the categoría 1 ahead of another driver of one GTR built by Industrias Lahoz, Ramón Plaus, who finished second.
There were six drivers racing at Alp at the wheel of the two CM models of Speed Car. In the Spanish Championship, running in the CM-Promoción group of the categoría 2, Edgar Montellà and Javier Rodríguez entered their GTRs while Felipe Brandao raced a GT1000, while in the Catalonian Championship there were Ramón Plaus, with a GTR, and Roger Román and Delfín Marcos Morgado with a couple of GT1000.
The best result in the national series was the third position scored by Edgar Montellà, who was back to the championship after not taking part in the previous round, held at Tenerife. With this new podium position, the third in the four events entered so far this year by the Speed Car GTR driver, he consolidates the fifth position in the overall standings of the Spanish championship category 2. In the Catalonian series, Montellà won the category 1.
Right behind Edgar in the national series finished Javier Rodríguez, young Tenerife born driver who was doing his first run in Spain's mainland after his remarcable showing in the Guía de Isora hillclimb. At the wheel of the GTR from Pep-Motor, Javi was improving along the weekend to end up fourth in the categoría 2 with the Speed Car.
The 1-2 result for the Speed Cars in the Catalonian championship was completed by Ramón Plaus, second with his GTR. The fifth position was for Roger Román, with a GT1000, the same model driven by Felipe Brando, who finished sixth, both in the Spanish and Catalan series, and Delfín Marcos Morgado, ninth in the Catalonian results.
