On 16, 17 and 18 May, the 53rd Subida Internacional al Fito was held in the Asturian town of Arriondas, the Spanish event of the European Hillclimb Championship and the second round of the Spanish Championship. As in the inaugural round of the series, held at the end of April in Estepona, Edgar Montellà took the victory in Class 11 of the national championship with his Speed Car GTR. In addition, the Andorran driver finished third overall in Category 3, a result which, together with his second place in the Malaga hillclimb, puts him at the top of the Spanish Championship standings in the category that includes cars from the CM-Promotion, CM and CCM groups. The next round will be Edgar's home race, the Pujada Arinsal, which will take place on 31 May and 1 June.
