The Carballo circuit hosted the third round of the Loterías 2025 Spanish Autocross Championship from 11 to 13 July. The first of the two events in Coruña registered the highest participation so far this season, with more than a hundred entries in the different categories of the competition, with a victory for Speed Car in “Buggy”, achieved by Eduard Bañeres with his TTR, and a podium in “Car Cross”, by Quim González, third classified with a Wonder.
A magnificent start in the final was the key to the victory achieved by Eduard Bañeres with his Speed Car TTR in the “Buggy” category. The Catalan driver had been third both in the timed session and in the qualifying heats, in which he had achieved two second places and a fourth. In the final, starting from third position on the grid, Eduard placed his Speed Car ahead of all his rivals and managed to maintain the lead until the chequered flag, resisting perfectly to the pressure to which he was subjected by his rivals to achieve his third victory in the Galician track.
Igor Aguirrebereña finished one place off the podium, fourth in the other Speed Car TTR that competed in Carballo. The Basque driver set the sixth fastest time in the qualifying and was fourth on the grid in the final after finishing second, third and fourth in his three heats.The Speed Car Wonder proved once again their competitiveness in a CEAX event with four units in the final of the always competitive Car Cross category, which in Carballo had thirty-seven participants. The best classified in the race that closed the weekend was the one driven by Quim González, who ended up reaching the third position after coming back from the seventh position on the starting grid, the same position he had occupied in the qualifying session.
The next Wonder at the finish was that of Marco Matador, sixth in the final after losing positions due to a contact in the first moments of the race, who started from third on the grid after being one of the best in the heats, with a win and two second places that confirmed the speed shown with his second position in the timed session. The best time in qualifying was achieved by his teammate Pol Durán but the Wonder rider was unlucky in the heats, with a tenth, a fifth and a fourth that forced him to win the B Final to get into the A Final, where he started from fifteenth place on the grid and climbed up to cross the finish line in eighth position. The fourth Wonder in the final was driven by Josep Aranda, who was forced to retire after crashing into the bank at the end of the first lap, which relegated him to eleventh place in the standing.
Three drivers competed in Carballo in the Car Cross Series category driving Speed Car Wonder. The best classified in both practice and qualifying heats was Jon Bikendi, fifth in both cases, but although the Basque driver was also the one who crossed the finish line in a more advanced position, fourth, he ended up being excluded after finishing the race without the mandatory protective goggles. Miguel Ángel Herrero finished fifth, after a weekend that went from strength to strength, going from seventeenth in qualifying to twelfth in the heats, a position from which he climbed up to fifth at the end of the final. The third Wonder in the race, driven by Joan Aranda, was just behind, also gaining positions from twentieth in qualifying and ninth on the grid.
Speed Car was represented by two drivers in the Junior category at the Carballo event. Both competed at the wheel of the Wonder model and the best classified was Hugo Fuertes, who finished seventh after occupying the same position in the timed session and moving up to fifth place on the starting grid for the final after a fourth place and two fifth places in the heats. Just behind Hugo in the qualifying session was Saul Martínez, who gained a position in the heats to start the final from seventh place, from where he eventually dropped to eleventh, where he completed the race.
