The second round of the 2026 Spanish Autocross Championship took place on 13 and 14 June at Cerro Negro. The Toledo round saw Quim González secure his second consecutive victory at the start of the national season, winning the ever-competitive Car Cross category in his Speed Car Wonder. Products from Industrias Lahoz were also in action in the Junior and Series categories.
The Car Cross category once again attracted the largest number of entrants, with over forty registered once more. Among them were six drivers competing in Speed Car Wonder cars, four of whom reached the final of the top fifteen. As in the season opener, Quim González was the dominant force, winning all three of his qualifying heats and also taking the final to secure his second consecutive victory and consolidate his lead at the top of the championship standings. Another Wonder, driven by Aleix Costa, crossed the finish line in third place, but a ‘drive-through’ penalty dropped him to seventh, two places behind his team-mate Pol Durán, who finished fifth after a magnificent comeback from fifteenth on the starting grid. As at Esplús, the fourth-placed Speed Car was driven by Alfonso Fontán, who finished thirteenth on this occasion.
The same three drivers who kicked off the Car Cross Series season in Esplús with the Speed Car Wonder also competed at Cerro Negro. Joan Aranda once again achieved the best result, although this time he had to settle for eighth place in the final after being the fastest in the time trial but suffering a run of bad luck in the qualifying rounds, which saw him relegated to fourteenth on the grid. The next Wonder to cross the finish line was that of Andorran driver Anselm Llovera, who finished eleventh, whilst Basque driver Jon Bikendi – who had finished third once and fourth twice in the heats – was unable to capitalise on his seventh place on the starting grid and ended up dropping down the field to finish thirteenth.
Three drivers took part in the Toledo race in the Junior category with the Speed Car Wonder. The highest-placed driver in the final was Saul Martínez from Asturias, who finished fifth after starting from that same position, having come eighth in the qualifying session and fifth overall in the qualifying heats, in which he improved progressively, finishing fourth, third and second. Right behind him in the final was his team-mate Oriol Cabeza, who finished sixth in the decisive race after fighting his way up from tenth on the starting grid – a position he had secured with two fourth-place finishes and a sixth in the qualifying heats. Rounding off the Speed Car trio in this event, which brings together the rising stars of Spanish Car Cross, was Escudería Mollerusa driver Jaime Rivas, who finished ninth in the final after moving up from thirteenth on the grid, having finished sixth, seventh and eighth in the previous heats.
